| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jaime Ovalle has been named salutatorian of the |

| 6 | 6 | | Class of 2023 at H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas, and he |

| 7 | 7 | | indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |

| 10 | 10 | | intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | highest academic standards; in securing his place as one of the two |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | top-ranking students in his class, Mr. Ovalle demonstrated a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of a notable high school career; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |

| 17 | 17 | | recognized for his hard work, Mr. Ovalle has gained the opportunity |

| 18 | 18 | | to address his fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on |

| 19 | 19 | | their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, During his years at Spruce High, Mr. Ovalle has |

| 21 | 21 | | earned the respect and admiration of both his teachers and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |

| 23 | 23 | | to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Jaime Ovalle on graduating as |
