| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Vanessa Alonso of San Pedro Fine Arts Academy has |

| 6 | 6 | | been named the 2023 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Robstown |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A Robstown native with 15 years of experience in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | education, Ms. Alonso became a teacher in August 2021 after |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | spending 8 years as a 21st Century Community Learning Centers |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | program coordinator; she currently serves as a lead kindergarten |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | teacher and mentor at San Pedro Fine Arts Academy; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Vanessa Alonso exemplifies the passion, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Vanessa Alonso on her selection as |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the 2023 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Robstown Independent |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | School District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |

| 25 | 25 | | success with her important work; and, be it further |
