H.R. No. 2489
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Michael Morales has distinguished himself through
his dedicated service as a member of the Eagle Pass Fire Department;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Morales began his career with the department in
May 2010, when he was hired as a part-time emergency medical
technician; in July of the following year, he was promoted to the
position of firefighter/EMT-basic, and he presently holds the title
of firefighter/EMT-paramedic; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Morales has continued his
professional development by earning certifications as a fire
instructor, an emergency medical services instructor, an
intermediate firefighter, and a hazmat technician, and he is also
certified in pre-hospital trauma life support and pediatric
advanced life support; additionally, he is a member of the crisis
intervention stress debriefing team; and
WHEREAS, Highly respected for his expertise and leadership,
Mr. Morales has earned a number of awards, including recognition as
a 2011 Employee of the Quarter, the 2016 Public Safety Division
Employee of the Year, and the 2022 Eagle Pass Fire Department
Employee of the Year; and
WHEREAS, For more than 12 years, Michael Morales has worked
to ensure the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens as a
member of the Eagle Pass Fire Department, and he may reflect with
pride on his outstanding efforts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend firefighter and EMT-paramedic Michael
Morales for his exemplary service to the City of Eagle Pass and
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Morales as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
