| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Morales has distinguished himself through |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | his dedicated service as a member of the Eagle Pass Fire Department; |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Morales began his career with the department in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | May 2010, when he was hired as a part-time emergency medical |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | technician; in July of the following year, he was promoted to the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | position of firefighter/EMT-basic, and he presently holds the title |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of firefighter/EMT-paramedic; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Morales has continued his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | professional development by earning certifications as a fire |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | instructor, an emergency medical services instructor, an |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | intermediate firefighter, and a hazmat technician, and he is also |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | certified in pre-hospital trauma life support and pediatric |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | advanced life support; additionally, he is a member of the crisis |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | intervention stress debriefing team; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Highly respected for his expertise and leadership, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Mr. Morales has earned a number of awards, including recognition as |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | a 2011 Employee of the Quarter, the 2016 Public Safety Division |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Employee of the Year, and the 2022 Eagle Pass Fire Department |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Employee of the Year; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, For more than 12 years, Michael Morales has worked |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | to ensure the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens as a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | member of the Eagle Pass Fire Department, and he may reflect with |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | pride on his outstanding efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby commend firefighter and EMT-paramedic Michael |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Morales for his exemplary service to the City of Eagle Pass and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
