44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez of Eagle Pass retired from the
66 United States Border Patrol on February 28, 2023, drawing to a close
77 an exemplary career with the agency that spanned 26 years; and
88 WHEREAS, A native of Harlingen, Mr. Gonzalez served as a
99 member of the U.S. Air Force Security Police from 1991 to 1995; he
1010 went on to join the U.S. Border Patrol on February 4, 1997, and over
1111 the course of his tenure, he served as a K9 handler and a member of
1212 the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force; in addition,
1313 he was involved in remote monitoring surveillance; he holds
1414 all-terrain vehicle and drone certifications; and
1515 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys the love
1616 and support of his wife, AnilĂș, and he takes great pride in his
1717 children, Alek, Milla, Soleil, and Sasha; and
1818 WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez's dedication, professionalism, and
1919 commitment to the mission of the U.S. Border Patrol have greatly
2020 benefited his fellow citizens and earned him the respect and
2121 admiration of his colleagues, and he may indeed reflect with pride
2222 on a career well spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of
2323 his life; now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2525 Legislature hereby congratulate Norman Gonzalez on his retirement
2626 from the United States Border Patrol and extend to him sincere best
2727 wishes for the future; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the
3030 Texas House of Representatives.
