| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez of Eagle Pass retired from the |

| 6 | 6 | | United States Border Patrol on February 28, 2023, drawing to a close |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | an exemplary career with the agency that spanned 26 years; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A native of Harlingen, Mr. Gonzalez served as a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | member of the U.S. Air Force Security Police from 1991 to 1995; he |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | went on to join the U.S. Border Patrol on February 4, 1997, and over |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the course of his tenure, he served as a K9 handler and a member of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force; in addition, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | he was involved in remote monitoring surveillance; he holds |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | all-terrain vehicle and drone certifications; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys the love |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and support of his wife, Anilú, and he takes great pride in his |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | children, Alek, Milla, Soleil, and Sasha; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Norman Gonzalez's dedication, professionalism, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | commitment to the mission of the U.S. Border Patrol have greatly |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | benefited his fellow citizens and earned him the respect and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | admiration of his colleagues, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | on a career well spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | his life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Norman Gonzalez on his retirement |

| 26 | 26 | | from the United States Border Patrol and extend to him sincere best |
