| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Glen John Claybrook, formerly of Eagle Pass, was |

| 7 | 7 | | Film from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Glen Claybrook received the honor for his work as |

| 9 | 9 | | character technical director on the film, Encanto; the feature from |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Walt Disney Animation Studios follows a family, the Madrigals, who |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | live hidden in the mountains of Colombia; this is Mr. Claybrook's |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | second Oscar after previously winning one in 2014 for the film, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Frozen; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The son of Lydia Claybrook and the late John |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Claybrook, Mr. Claybrook was a member of the Class of 1974 at Eagle |

| 16 | 16 | | Pass High School and went on to graduate from The University of |

| 17 | 17 | | Texas at Austin; for many years, he served as a director and |

| 18 | 18 | | technical director for the animation studio, Curious Pictures; he |

| 19 | 19 | | joined Walt Disney in 1996 and was named character technical |

| 20 | 20 | | director in 2007; over the course of his career, his credits include |

| 21 | 21 | | Big Hero 6, Puddles, Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, Bolt, Raya and the |

| 22 | 22 | | Last Dragon, Chicken Little, and Home on the Range; and |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedication to his craft and his |

| 24 | 24 | | unwavering commitment to excellence, Glen Claybrook has |

| 25 | 25 | | contributed significantly to the success of Encanto and countless |

| 26 | 26 | | other beloved films, and this prestigious award represents a |

| 27 | 27 | | fitting recognition of his many achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Glen John Claybrook on his receipt |
