| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |

| 6 | 6 | | milestones, and Malavika Subramaniam is participating in that |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | joyful occasion with her graduation from Vandegrift High School in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Austin on May 27, 2023; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2023 will soon |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at Vandegrift |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and experiences |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | that Ms. Subramaniam has gained there will forever enrich her life; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Subramaniam is a recipient of the AP Capstone |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Award, and she was named an AP Scholar with Distinction; she has |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | further distinguished herself as a member of the National Honor |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Society, as the treasurer of the Science National Honor Society, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and as the founder and president of the Girls in Coding Club; in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | addition, she has served as a math and reading tutor and an intern |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with The University of Texas at Austin Anxiety & Health Behaviors |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Lab; following her graduation, she plans to study computer science |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and government at UT Austin before attending law school; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Malavika Subramaniam on the |

| 29 | 29 | | occasion of her high school graduation and extend to her sincere |
