| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions has been selected as |

| 6 | 6 | | the 2023 Business of the Year by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce; |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce |

| 9 | 9 | | recognizes a local business for its involvement in the community as |

| 10 | 10 | | well as its contributions to the chamber; to qualify for the award, |

| 11 | 11 | | the business must have at least 21 employees; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions has generously |

| 13 | 13 | | donated to a number of local organizations and projects such as the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Round Rock Cares disaster relief fund, which played a critical role |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | in the city's recovery following the March 2022 tornado; in |

| 16 | 16 | | addition, the business has been a dedicated supporter of the Round |

| 17 | 17 | | Rock Chamber of Commerce, and it actively participates in the |

| 18 | 18 | | chamber's Momentum economic development program; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through its exceptional contributions, Kalahari |

| 20 | 20 | | Resorts & Conventions has furthered Round Rock's reputation as a |

| 21 | 21 | | great place to live and work, and it is indeed deserving of this |

| 22 | 22 | | notable honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
