| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was |

| 6 | 6 | | honored as the 2023 Best Place to Work at the Round Rock Chamber's |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | annual awards banquet on February 15, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the Round Rock Chamber recognizes |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | deserving businesses, organizations, and individuals for their |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | achievements and their contributions to the local community; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | founded in 1997 to provide children and families with a safe, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | welcoming place to share their experiences of abuse; the center |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | works alongside local law enforcement and the Department of Family |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and Protective Services to ensure the integrity of child abuse |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | investigations; in addition to forensic interviews, it offers |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | medical examinations, mental health counseling, and other |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | education and advocacy services; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Employing a staff of around 30 people, the center |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | has earned praise for its positive workplace environment as well as |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | its values, culture, community outreach efforts, and employee |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | resources; the organization has built a strong track record for |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | retaining staff, and it has several internal committees devoted to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | wellness, diversity, and other areas of employee engagement; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center has |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | furthered its vital mission by nurturing a strong relationship with |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | its employees, and in so doing, it has set a commendable example for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | other organizations and businesses; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Williamson County Children's |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Advocacy Center on its selection as the 2023 Best Place to Work by |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | the Round Rock Chamber and extend to the center's management and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | staff sincere best wishes for continued success with their |
|---|
