5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary life dedicated to public service drew |

6 | 6 | | to a close with the passing of the Honorable Kyle Douglas Bradley of |

7 | 7 | | Lytle on April 3, 2022, at the age of 79; and |
---|
8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Ervin Kyle and Mary Jane Bradley, Kyle |
---|
9 | 9 | | Bradley was born in Jonesborough, Tennessee, on September 20, 1942, |
---|
10 | 10 | | and he grew up with seven siblings, Gary, David, Helen, Robert, |
---|
11 | 11 | | James, Gayle, and Janice; he was a longtime resident of Atascosa |
---|
12 | 12 | | County, where he settled during a distinguished military career |
---|
13 | 13 | | that spanned 31 years before his retirement at the rank of chief |
---|
14 | 14 | | master sergeant; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In November 2018, Judge Bradley was elected to his |
---|
16 | 16 | | sixth term as the Atascosa County Precinct 2 justice of the peace; |
---|
17 | 17 | | he spent more than two decades in office, earning a reputation as a |
---|
18 | 18 | | man of integrity who lived by the motto, "There is no right way to do |
---|
19 | 19 | | a wrong thing"; through the years, he served as a mentor to |
---|
20 | 20 | | colleagues from across the state, and he was named the 2018 Judge of |
---|
21 | 21 | | the Year by the Texas Justice Court Judges Association; and |
---|
22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Judge Bradley shared a rewarding marriage with his |
---|
23 | 23 | | wife, the late Carol Sue Bradley, and he took great pride in his |
---|
24 | 24 | | three children, Kimberly, Karen, and Wesley; with the passing |
---|
25 | 25 | | years, he had the pleasure of welcoming into his family five |
---|
26 | 26 | | grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Kyle Bradley made a meaningful difference in the |
---|
28 | 28 | | lives of his loved ones and fellow citizens alike, and his |
---|
29 | 29 | | contributions will be fondly remembered for years to come; now, |
---|
30 | 30 | | therefore, be it |

31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

32 | 32 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kyle Douglas Bradley |

35 | 35 | | Dietrich and her husband, Noel; to his grandchildren, Ashley |
