44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, An exemplary life dedicated to public service drew
66 to a close with the passing of the Honorable Kyle Douglas Bradley of
77 Lytle on April 3, 2022, at the age of 79; and
88 WHEREAS, The son of Ervin Kyle and Mary Jane Bradley, Kyle
99 Bradley was born in Jonesborough, Tennessee, on September 20, 1942,
1010 and he grew up with seven siblings, Gary, David, Helen, Robert,
1111 James, Gayle, and Janice; he was a longtime resident of Atascosa
1212 County, where he settled during a distinguished military career
1313 that spanned 31 years before his retirement at the rank of chief
1414 master sergeant; and
1515 WHEREAS, In November 2018, Judge Bradley was elected to his
1616 sixth term as the Atascosa County Precinct 2 justice of the peace;
1717 he spent more than two decades in office, earning a reputation as a
1818 man of integrity who lived by the motto, "There is no right way to do
1919 a wrong thing"; through the years, he served as a mentor to
2020 colleagues from across the state, and he was named the 2018 Judge of
2121 the Year by the Texas Justice Court Judges Association; and
2222 WHEREAS, Judge Bradley shared a rewarding marriage with his
2323 wife, the late Carol Sue Bradley, and he took great pride in his
2424 three children, Kimberly, Karen, and Wesley; with the passing
2525 years, he had the pleasure of welcoming into his family five
2626 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
2727 WHEREAS, Kyle Bradley made a meaningful difference in the
2828 lives of his loved ones and fellow citizens alike, and his
2929 contributions will be fondly remembered for years to come; now,
3030 therefore, be it
3131 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
3232 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kyle Douglas Bradley
3333 and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his family: to
3434 his daughters, Kimberly Faulk and her husband, Eric, and Karen
3535 Dietrich and her husband, Noel; to his grandchildren, Ashley
3636 Wheeler and her husband, Colby, Erica Tate and her husband, Stacey,
3737 Ashley Larrabee and her husband, Paul, Christian Shroeder, and
3838 Jaeson Faulk; to his great-grandchild, Avery Larrabee; to his
3939 brothers, Robert Bradley and James Bradley; to his sisters, Gayle
4040 Utsman and Janice Sherfey; and to his many other relatives and
4141 friends; and, be it further
4242 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4343 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
4444 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kyle
4545 Bradley.
