| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Nurse-Family Partnership Day at the State Capitol is |

| 6 | 6 | | taking place on February 21, 2023; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, A nonprofit with network partners across the nation, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Nurse-Family Partnership works to ensure the health and well-being |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | of mothers and their children; the organization provides in-home |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | nurse visits to low-income women who are experiencing their first |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | pregnancy, and the visits continue until the child's second |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | birthday; through the program, nurses offer valuable advice on |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | child care and become a trusted resource for families in need; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Since expanding its network in 1996, Nurse-Family |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Partnership has served more than 376,400 families in the United |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | States; the organization has provided maternal and infant care in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the Lone Star State for over 16 years, and more than 4,000 Texas |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | families have benefited from the program; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Nurse-Family Partnership has made a positive impact |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | in the lives of innumerable Texans, and the nurses associated with |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the organization have earned the lasting admiration and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | appreciation of their fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby recognize February 21, 2023, as Nurse-Family |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Partnership Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | participating sincere best wishes for a memorable and enjoyable |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | visit to Austin; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
