| 10 | 11 | | Prairie View A&M University, which is part of The Texas A&M |

| 11 | 12 | | University System, the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences |

| 12 | 13 | | offers a diverse and well-rounded curriculum with programs in the |

| 13 | 14 | | areas of animal and veterinary sciences, human sciences, nutrition |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and food security, and plant and environmental sciences; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The college oversees a 770-acre research and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | demonstration farm and holds classes at a modern facility that |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | opened in 2016 with state-of-the-art labs, instruments, and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | greenhouses; researchers at the Cooperative Agricultural Research |

| 19 | 20 | | Center are finding ways to address a wide range of complex social |

| 20 | 21 | | issues, including food security, obesity and cancer, the nutrition |

| 21 | 22 | | and shelf life of agricultural products, allergens, and the |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, The College of Agricultural and Human Sciences is |

| 24 | 25 | | dedicated to serving disadvantaged students through scholarships |

| 25 | 26 | | and other initiatives; moreover, its Cooperative Extension |

| 26 | 27 | | Program, which works in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife |

| 27 | 28 | | Extension Service, directly addresses the needs of half a million |
