| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Kristen Michelle |

| 6 | 6 | | Bryant were deeply saddened by her passing on March 16, 2022, at the |

| 7 | 7 | | age of 38; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Michelle Bryant was born to Kevin and Cristi Bryant |

| 9 | 9 | | in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on June 14, 1983, and at the age of seven, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | she moved to Texas with her parents; as a youth, she accompanied her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | family on medical mission trips to Central America, and she later |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | traveled with members of her church to Russia to work at orphanages; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | a graduate of Uplift North Hills Preparatory in Irving, she went on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | to receive a business degree from Syracuse University; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Following her college graduation, Ms. Bryant lived |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and worked in New York City and Dallas; she later relocated to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Washington, D.C., and earned a master's degree in international |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | affairs at American University; over the course of her studies, she |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | served as a research assistant in the country of Georgia, visited |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Turkey, and became fluent in Russian after taking language |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | immersion courses at universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ultimately, she was employed at the World Bank; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Possessed of a keen intellect and an insatiable |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | curiosity, Ms. Bryant was passionate about traveling, writing, and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | reading and especially enjoyed philosophical and foreign |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | literature; moreover, she shared a deep love of music with her three |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | siblings, Clayton, Jonathan, and Patrick; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Although Michelle Bryant will be deeply missed, she |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | has left her loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 32 | 32 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kristen Michelle |
