| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A highly respected figure in professional football |

| 6 | 6 | | and beyond, Tony Dungy has excelled as a coach, an analyst, a |

| 7 | 7 | | bestselling author, and a civic leader who is dedicated to the |

| 8 | 8 | | community at large; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Dungy's exceptional career in the National |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Football League spanned more than three decades as a player and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | coach; he was renowned for transforming the franchises he coached |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | into contenders, and he had the distinction of taking teams to the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | playoffs in 10 consecutive seasons; the highlight of his tenure |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | came in 2007, at the helm of the Indianapolis Colts, when he became |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl; he |

| 16 | 16 | | retired following the 2008 season and was inducted into the Pro |

| 21 | 21 | | ring in 1979 as a defensive back with the Pittsburgh Steelers; in |

| 22 | 22 | | 1980, he launched his coaching career as an assistant for his |

| 23 | 23 | | college alma mater, and he went on to serve as a member of the |

| 24 | 24 | | coaching staffs for Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and Minnesota; as a |

| 25 | 25 | | head coach, he led Tampa Bay for six seasons before being hired by |
