| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Southwestern University has honored John Dixon with |

| 6 | 6 | | a 2022 Joe S. Mundy Award for exemplary service; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade was created in 2002 as a |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | tribute to Joe S. Mundy, an alumnus of the university and a member |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | of the alumni board of directors as well as the school's board of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | trustees; the award recognizes outstanding faculty and staff |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | members who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | university; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A landscape services technician, John Dixon has been |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a valued member of facilities management at Southwestern University |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for more than 24 years; he coordinates a range of waste management |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and groundskeeping tasks, and over the course of his tenure, he has |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | played an instrumental role in ensuring that the campus remains an |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | attractive place for students; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the university, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Mr. Dixon has been employed by H-E-B for nearly two decades; he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | brings a positive attitude to all his endeavors, and he inspires |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | those around him with his professionalism and drive; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedication, integrity, and strong work |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | ethic, John Dixon has earned the lasting respect and admiration of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his colleagues, and he is indeed deserving of this notable |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | accolade; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate John Dixon on his receipt of a 2022 |
