H.R. No. 388
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The service of an admired Mason County official drew
to a close when Jerry Bearden retired as county judge on
December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, First taking office on January 1, 2003, Judge
Bearden served his fellow citizens with distinction throughout his
notable 20-year tenure; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated leadership and commitment to
good governance, Jerry Bearden has helped make Mason County an even
better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of
excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Jerry Bearden for his service as Mason
County judge and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Judge Bearden as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
