| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The service of an admired Mason County official drew |

| 6 | 6 | | to a close when Polly McMillan retired as county treasurer in |

| 7 | 7 | | December 2022; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, First taking office in January 1995, Ms. McMillan |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | served her fellow citizens with distinction throughout her notable |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 27-year tenure; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedicated leadership and commitment to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | good governance, Polly McMillan has helped make Mason County an |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | even better place in which to live and work, and she has set a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | standard of excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, |

| 16 | 16 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 17 | 17 | | Legislature hereby commend Polly McMillan for her service as Mason |

| 18 | 18 | | County treasurer and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
