| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The service of an admired Real County official drew |

| 6 | 6 | | to a close when Manuel Rubio retired as county commissioner on |

| 7 | 7 | | December 30, 2020; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, First taking office on December 29, 2004, Mr. Rubio |

| 9 | 9 | | served his fellow citizens with distinction throughout his notable |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 16-year tenure; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedicated leadership and commitment to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | good governance, Manuel Rubio has helped make Real County an even |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 15 | 15 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 16 | 16 | | Legislature hereby commend Manuel Rubio for his service as a Real |

| 17 | 17 | | County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |

| 18 | 18 | | future; and, be it further |
