| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The service of an admired Schleicher County official |

| 6 | 6 | | drew to a close when Phil Edmiston retired as justice of the peace |

| 7 | 7 | | on January 1, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Judge Edmiston served |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | his fellow citizens with distinction, ably meeting the myriad |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | responsibilities of his office; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedication and commitment to good |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | governance, Phil Edmiston has helped make Schleicher County an even |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 15 | 15 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 16 | 16 | | Legislature hereby commend Phil Edmiston for his service as |

| 17 | 17 | | Schleicher County justice of the peace and extend to him sincere |

| 18 | 18 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
