| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Levera Marie |

| 6 | 6 | | Wyatt-Hines were deeply saddened by her passing on January 19, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2023, at the age of 74; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The former Levera Wyatt was born to Corrie and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Francis Wyatt on January 9, 1949, in Goodrich, and she grew up with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the companionship of three brothers, Wallace, Larry, and Sammy; she |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Houston; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In 1967, Ms. Wyatt-Hines graduated from Phillis |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Wheatley High School in Houston, where she was voted Most Popular |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Senior, Senior Secretary, and Miss Esquire, and she continued her |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | education at Prairie View A&M University; she went on to become an |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | executive assistant at Coastal Oil and Gas before retiring in 1989; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This beloved woman took great pride in her son, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Marco; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed shopping and spending time |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | with her family and friends; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Although her loss is difficult to bear, Levera |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Wyatt-Hines has left her loved ones with many cherished memories, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Levera Marie |

| 28 | 28 | | Wyatt-Hines and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her |

| 29 | 29 | | passing: to her son, Marco Limbrick; to her brothers, Larry Wyatt |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and Sammy Wyatt; to her nephews, Yuri Wyatt and his wife, Zarassa, |

| 31 | 31 | | Dion Byrd, Bryant Wyatt, and Milton Wyatt; to her nieces, Tonjau |
