| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Competing from January 12 through 14 at the Fort |

| 10 | 10 | | Worth Convention Center, the Tomball Memorial cheerleaders opened |

| 11 | 11 | | with an outstanding preliminary-round performance; entering the |

| 12 | 12 | | finals in third place, the Wildcats demonstrated tremendous |

| 13 | 13 | | resolve, posting scores of 45.53 and 41.93 in the Fight Song/Band |

| 14 | 14 | | Chant and Crowd Leading events for an overall score of 87.47; |

| 15 | 15 | | emerging triumphant in its first state meet at the 6A Division 1 |

| 16 | 16 | | level, Tomball Memorial bested its closest foes by a margin of 2.1 |

| 17 | 17 | | points to claim the school's inaugural state cheerleading crown; |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Excelling with a true team effort, the Wildcats |

| 22 | 22 | | student-athletes were ably led by head coach Sarah Ellison, who has |

| 24 | 24 | | first-place state showings since taking the helm of the program, |

| 25 | 25 | | and the team also benefited from the guidance of assistant coaches |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the |

| 28 | 28 | | culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering |

| 29 | 29 | | commitment to excellence, and the members of the Tomball Memorial |

| 30 | 30 | | cheerleading team will treasure the memory of this accomplishment |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
