| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Paschal High School cheerleading team wrote its |

| 7 | 7 | | the 2023 University Interscholastic League Spirit State |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Championships; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Competing from January 12 through 14 at the Fort |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Worth Convention Center, the Paschal cheerleaders opened with an |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | outstanding performance in the qualifying round, notching the top |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | score in Crowd Leading and the second-highest score in Fight Song; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the Panthers went on to post a final tally of 92.63 and emerged |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | triumphant for the first time at the state meet; they further |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | distinguished themselves by becoming the inaugural squad from the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Fort Worth Independent School District to claim a UIL state |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | cheerleading championship; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Excelling with a true team effort, the Panthers |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | received valuable contributions from each member of the roster on |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | their journey to the state crown; these talented student-athletes |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | were ably led by head coach Alex Saenz and by assistant coaches Pat |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Anderson and Tori Reimann; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | commitment to excellence, and the Paschal High cheerleaders will |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | treasure the memory of this accomplishment for the rest of their |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | lives; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Paschal High School |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | cheerleading team on winning the 6A Division II title at the 2023 |
