44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Dr. Soner Tarim and his staff at Royal Public
66 Schools can take well deserved pride in the exemplary service they
77 provide to San Antonio students; and
88 WHEREAS, A tuition-free college-preparatory public charter
99 school, Royal Public Schools offers a kindergarten through 12th
1010 grade education and focuses on supporting all students, regardless
1111 of their race, gender, ethnic origin, socioeconomic level, or
1212 academic background; and
1313 WHEREAS, The founder and CEO of Royal Public Schools,
1414 Dr. Tarim has developed a unique public school model, combining an
1515 innovative STEM program with fine arts, reading and writing, and
1616 social-emotional learning to foster a holistic approach to
1717 education; under his able leadership, the school's dedicated
1818 teachers provide an academically rigorous college and career
1919 preparatory program; moreover, the school offers a multitude of
2020 extracurricular opportunities, including robotics, choir, and
2121 foreign language, as well as a number of athletic programs such as
2222 soccer, basketball, and volleyball; and
2323 WHEREAS, Royal Public Schools is providing its students with
2424 a strong academic foundation on which to build, and it has made a
2525 lasting and positive impact in the San Antonio community; now,
2626 therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commend Royal Public Schools on its outstanding
2929 record of accomplishments and extend to Dr. Soner Tarim and his
3030 staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Dr. Tarim as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
