44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Ja'Naria Jackson of Terrell High School achieved
66 great distinction by winning two gold medals at the 2022 University
77 Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
88 WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
99 Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Jackson
1010 turned in an exceptional performance, claiming the state title in
1111 the 4A 100 and 200-meter races; in the 100 meters, she clocked in at
1212 11.74 seconds, and in the 200 meters, she crossed the line in 23.69
1313 seconds; and
1414 WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
1515 high school track and field athletes, this talented young Texan has
1616 ably represented her school and community, and she will cherish her
1717 memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now,
1818 therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2020 Legislature hereby congratulate Ja'Naria Jackson on winning two
2121 gold medals at the 2022 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to
2222 her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2323 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2424 prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the
2525 Texas House of Representatives.
