| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Anahuac Anglers from Anahuac High |

| 7 | 7 | | Toledo Bend Tournament on February 11, 2023; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Anahuac was paced by the team of Camden Wilson and Ty |

| 9 | 9 | | Wilcox, who reeled in four fish for a total weight of 16.35 pounds, |

| 10 | 10 | | giving Anahuac a third-place finish in the l25-team Toledo Bend |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | competition; moreover, Mr. Wilson caught the biggest fish of the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | tournament with a weigh-in of 9.54 pounds; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Part of the Texas High School Bass Association, the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Anahuac group has experienced significant growth in recent years; |

| 15 | 15 | | the Anglers fielded eight teams to participate in the association's |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | tournaments during the 2022-2023 season, with each team composed of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | two high school students and an adult captain; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Anahuac Anglers have proudly |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | represented their school and community, and all those associated |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with the group are deserving of recognition their dedicated |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | efforts; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Anahuac Anglers for their |

| 24 | 24 | | strong showing at the Toledo Bend Tournament and extend to the |

| 25 | 25 | | students and captains sincere best wishes for continued success; |
