| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their |

| 6 | 6 | | memories of Ray Allen Wilson, who passed away on November 16, 2022, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at the age of 71; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Wallace and Lucy Wilson, "Straw" Wilson |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | enjoyed a successful career with Rio Grande Electric Cooperative, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and he was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Workers Local Union No. 583; he was also a cowboy who worked on a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | number of ranches in his younger years, and he loved teaching |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | children how to ride horses; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, Mr. Wilson shared a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | richly rewarding marriage with his wife, Mary Orr Wilson, that |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | spanned 45 years, and he took great pride in his children, Seth and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Melissa; with the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | family grow to include his daughter-in-law, Adriana, and his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | son-in-law, Jaime, as well as his five grandchildren, Olivia, Mya, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Jaquelynn, Kelly, and Kaleb; Mr. Wilson was a man of strong faith, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and he attended church every Sunday; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Straw Wilson lived a full and generous life, and he |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | will forever be a source of inspiration to those he leaves behind; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ray Allen Wilson and |

| 27 | 27 | | extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it |
