| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Meagan McCoy Jones assumed her role as president and |

| 6 | 6 | | CEO of McCoy's Building Supply on June 1, 2022, marking a |

| 7 | 7 | | significant milestone in her career; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The fourth generation of the McCoy family to run the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | company, Ms. Jones took over the mantle from her father, Brian |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | McCoy; she began working for McCoy's Building Supply during the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | summers in her youth, and she became an assistant manager at the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Manchaca location in 2007 before transitioning to a business |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | operations position at the headquarters in San Marcos; beginning in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 2018, she served as president and chief operating officer; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Jones is also a member of the McCoy Corporation |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | board of directors and a partner in McCoy Remme Ranches; an admired |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | member of her professional community, she has held leadership |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | positions with the Lumbermen's Association of Texas and the Texas |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Association of Builders; moreover, she has taken an active role in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the Greater San Marcos Partnership and Mobile Loaves & Fishes; she |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond and a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | master's degree in communications from The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Austin; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedication and expertise, Meagan McCoy |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Jones has made vital contributions to advancing the mission of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | McCoy's Building Supply over the years, and the experience she has |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | acquired along the way will serve her well as she continues to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | fulfill the responsibilities of her position; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Meagan McCoy Jones on her |

| 31 | 31 | | installation as president and CEO of McCoy's Building Supply and |
