55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Judge Maria Ramirez; and
99 WHEREAS, Judge Ramirez has distinguished herself through her
1010 dedicated efforts as judge of the El Paso Municipal Court of
1111 Appeals, and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in
1212 this important role have earned her the respect and admiration of
1313 her fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Judge
1515 Ramirez greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and her
1616 achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in the
1717 judiciary; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Judge Maria Ramirez, and she may take
2020 justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example
2121 she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Judge Maria Ramirez for her service as
2424 judge of the El Paso Municipal Court of Appeals and extend to her
2525 sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
2626 and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Judge Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the
2929 Texas House of Representatives.
