55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Angie Sommers; and
99 WHEREAS, Constable Sommers has distinguished herself through
1010 her dedicated efforts as the Precinct 7 constable of El Paso County,
1111 and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in this
1212 important role have earned her the respect and admiration of her
1313 fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Constable
1515 Sommers greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and her
1616 achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in law
1717 enforcement; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Angie Sommers, and she may take
2020 justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example
2121 she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Angie Sommers for her service as the
2424 Precinct 7 constable of El Paso County and extend to her sincere
2525 best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
2626 further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Constable Sommers as an expression of high regard by
2929 the Texas House of Representatives.
