55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Judge Maria Salas-Mendoza; and
99 WHEREAS, Judge Salas-Mendoza has distinguished herself
1010 through her dedicated efforts as judge of the 120th District Court,
1111 and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in this
1212 important role have earned her the respect and admiration of her
1313 fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Judge
1515 Salas-Mendoza greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and her
1616 achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in the
1717 judiciary; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Judge Maria Salas-Mendoza, and she may
2020 take justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring
2121 example she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Judge Maria Salas-Mendoza for her
2424 service as judge of the 120th District Court and extend to her
2525 sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
2626 and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Judge Salas-Mendoza as an expression of high regard by
2929 the Texas House of Representatives.
