55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Sandra Licon; and
99 WHEREAS, Ms. Licon has distinguished herself through her
1010 dedicated efforts as president of the San Elizario Independent
1111 School District Board of Trustees, and the skill and
1212 professionalism she has demonstrated in this important role have
1313 earned her the respect and admiration of her fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Ms. Licon
1515 greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she serves, and
1616 her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women
1717 seeking public office; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Sandra Licon, and she may take justifiable
2020 pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example she has set
2121 for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Sandra Licon for her service as
2424 president of the San Elizario Independent School District Board of
2525 Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2626 success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Licon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2929 House of Representatives.
