| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |

| 6 | 6 | | the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | recognize the exemplary service of Mary Macias; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Macias has distinguished herself through her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | dedicated efforts as second vice president of the Clint Independent |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | School District Board of Trustees, and the skill and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | professionalism she has demonstrated in this important role have |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | earned her the respect and admiration of her fellow Texans; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Ms. Macias greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | serves, and her achievements make her a worthy role model for other |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | women seeking public office; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |

| 19 | 19 | | and engaged leaders like Mary Macias, and she may take justifiable |

| 20 | 20 | | pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example she has set |

| 21 | 21 | | for others; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend Mary Macias for her service as second |

| 25 | 25 | | Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
