55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Diana Sayavedra; and
99 WHEREAS, Ms. Sayavedra has distinguished herself through her
1010 dedicated efforts as the first female superintendent of the El Paso
1111 Independent School District, and the skill and professionalism she
1212 has demonstrated in this important role have earned her the respect
1313 and admiration of her fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Ms.
1515 Sayavedra greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she
1616 serves, and her achievements make her a worthy role model for other
1717 women in education; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Diana Sayavedra, and she may take
2020 justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example
2121 she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Diana Sayavedra for her service as the
2424 first female superintendent of the El Paso Independent School
2525 District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2626 success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Sayavedra as an expression of high regard by the
2929 Texas House of Representatives.
