| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate |

| 6 | 6 | | the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | recognize the exemplary service of Dr. Veronica Vijil; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Vijil has distinguished herself through her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | dedicated efforts as superintendent of the Fabens Independent |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | School District, and the skill and professionalism she has |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | demonstrated in this important role have earned her the respect and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | admiration of her fellow Texans; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Dr. Vijil |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | greatly benefits the students, faculty, and staff she serves, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | education; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate |

| 19 | 19 | | and engaged leaders like Dr. Veronica Vijil, and she may take |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example |

| 21 | 21 | | she has set for others; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend Dr. Veronica Vijil for her service as |

| 24 | 24 | | superintendent of the Fabens Independent School District and extend |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
