| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |

| 6 | 6 | | only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Gavin Brian David of Fate heralds a future bright with opportunity |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and promise; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. David has mastered a number of important skills |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit badges |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained experience in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | leadership and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle Scout project |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | that has contributed to the betterment of his community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A founding member of Scouts BSA Troop No. 163 in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Fate, Mr. David is the second Eagle Scout from the group; he has |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | ably served his peers in a designated position of responsibility, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | which Scouts are renowned; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. David is currently a senior at Royse City High |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | School; after graduation, he plans on attending Texas A&M |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | University, where he will continue his studies at the College of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Engineering; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Gavin David has demonstrated an |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, and the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Gavin Brian David on |

| 31 | 31 | | achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best |
