55 WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
66 the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
77 our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
88 recognize the exemplary service of Laura Cruz-Acosta; and
99 WHEREAS, Ms. Cruz-Acosta has distinguished herself through
1010 her dedicated efforts as strategic communications director for the
1111 City of El Paso, and the skill and professionalism she has
1212 demonstrated in this important role have earned her the respect and
1313 admiration of her fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties,
1515 Ms. Cruz-Acosta greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and her
1616 achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in
1717 municipal government; and
1818 WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
1919 and engaged leaders like Laura Cruz-Acosta, and she may take
2020 justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example
2121 she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Laura Cruz-Acosta for her service as
2424 strategic communications director for the City of El Paso and
2525 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
2626 endeavors; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Cruz-Acosta as an expression of high regard by the
2929 Texas House of Representatives.
