| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Highland Lakes are visiting |

| 6 | 6 | | the State Capitol on April 4, 2023; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Leadership Highland Lakes program is dedicated |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | to educating and motivating future leaders of Burnet and Llano |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Counties; participants take part in a variety of activities |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | designed to enhance their knowledge about their community and to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | provide them with the tools needed to address its challenges and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | expand its opportunities; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Members of the program have the opportunity to meet |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | with local experts and learn about business and industry, real |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | estate, state and local government, social services, tourism, the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | arts, and education; to further develop their skills, participants |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | are called on to serve as coordinators for future Leadership |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Highland Lakes sessions; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This admirable initiative encourages citizens to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | become more involved in the progress and direction of their |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | community, and in so doing, it is contributing to the future |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby recognize April 4, 2023, as Leadership Highland |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Lakes Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those associated |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | with the program sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
