| 6 | 6 | | which is considered the most holy day of the year in the Christian |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Known also as Resurrection Day, Easter is a time |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | when people around the globe recognize the day that Jesus Christ, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the only begotten Son of God, rose from the grave and reflect with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | joy on the gospel's enduring message of hope in the resurrection; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In the weeks before the sacred event, many |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Christians observe a 40-day period of fasting and prayer, known as |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Lent; Holy Week then commemorates Christ's final days before His |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | crucifixion by Roman authorities, remembered solemnly on Good |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Friday and followed by Easter Sunday; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Many families and loved ones gather together during |

| 19 | 19 | | this special time to worship and to express gratitude for the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | miracle of Christ's resurrection; the festivities symbolize new |

| 21 | 21 | | life, hope for the future, salvation for all mankind, and hope in |

| 22 | 22 | | the resurrection at the final judgement; and |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Observed for nearly 2,000 years, the Easter holiday |

| 24 | 24 | | ushers in the Easter season, a period of joy and renewal, signifying |

| 25 | 25 | | one of the fundamental pillars of faith for the Christian |

| 26 | 26 | | community, the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ; now, therefore, |
