| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school lifters in Texas |

| 10 | 10 | | at the Comerica Center in Frisco on March 16, Ms. Flores delivered |

| 11 | 11 | | an exceptional performance in the 148-pound weight class; she |

| 12 | 12 | | racked up personal bests in the squat, bench press, and dead lift |

| 13 | 13 | | categories to top the field with a total of 1,000 pounds, claiming |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | her second consecutive state crown; additionally, she was honored |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | as the Most Outstanding Lifter in the Lightweight Division; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Juan and Julie Flores, Leslie Flores |

| 17 | 17 | | has also excelled in volleyball, basketball, golf, and track and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | field over the course of her high school career; moreover, she is an |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | outstanding student, and she captains the cheerleading squad; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through skill, hard work, and relentless |

| 21 | 21 | | determination, Leslie Flores has realized her dream of becoming a |

| 22 | 22 | | two-time state powerlifting champion, and she will treasure the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | memory of this remarkable accomplishment for the rest of her life; |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
