A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a veterans treatment court program operated by a
justice of the peace court.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 124.002, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
(c-1) The commissioners court of a county may designate a
justice of the peace court within the county to operate a veterans
treatment court program established under this chapter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
