55 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
66 AN ACT
77 relating to certain information on the Texas Board of Nursing's
88 Internet website regarding prescriptive authority agreements.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 301.168, Occupations Code, is amended to
1111 read as follows:
1212 Sec. 301.168. DUTIES REGARDING PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHORITY
1313 AGREEMENTS. (a) The board shall in conjunction with the Texas
1414 Medical Board and the Texas Physician Assistant Board perform the
1515 functions and duties relating to prescriptive authority agreements
1616 assigned to the board in Sections 157.0512 and 157.0513.
1717 (b) The board shall post on the board's Internet website
1818 information regarding advanced practice registered nurses who have
1919 entered into prescriptive authority agreements with physicians.
2020 The information must include:
2121 (1) the names of the physician and advanced practice
2222 registered nurse who have entered into the agreement;
2323 (2) the physician's practice specialty;
2424 (3) the address of the physician's practice location;
2525 and
2626 (4) if different from the address under Subdivision
2727 (3), the address where the advanced practice registered nurse
2828 practices.
2929 SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date
3030 of this Act, the Texas Board of Nursing shall make the information
3131 required by Section 301.168(b), Occupations Code, as added by this
3232 Act, available on the board's Internet website.
3333 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
