| 13 | 13 | is to be performed by the presiding judge may be performed by an | |
| 14 | 14 | election clerk designated by the presiding judge. | |
| 15 | 15 | (b) A presiding judge may only designate an election clerk | |
| 16 | 16 | under Subsection (a) who has served at the same polling place as the | |
| 17 | 17 | presiding judge for at least four hours before the designation. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
