8 | 8 | | materials used by state agencies. |

9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 656, Government Code, is |
---|
11 | 11 | | amended by adding Section 656.056 to read as follows: |
---|
12 | 12 | | Sec. 656.056. LEGISLATIVE ACCESS TO TRAINING MATERIALS. A |
---|
13 | 13 | | state agency shall make available to members of the legislature the |
---|
14 | 14 | | training materials it provides to agency employees, including |
---|
15 | 15 | | presentation slides, memoranda, videos, and other materials. With |
---|
16 | 16 | | each set of training materials, the agency shall include: |
---|
17 | 17 | | (1) a brief description of the purpose of the |
---|
18 | 18 | | training; |
---|
19 | 19 | | (2) to whom the training is provided; |
---|
20 | 20 | | (3) how often the training is provided; |
---|
21 | 21 | | (4) whether the training is mandatory or voluntary; |
---|
22 | 22 | | and |
---|
23 | 23 | | (5) whether the training materials were created by the |
---|
24 | 24 | | state agency and, if not, the source of the materials. |
---|
25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
