| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 48.115(a), Education Code, is amended to | |
| 11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) A [From funds appropriated for that purpose, the | |
| 13 | 13 | commissioner shall provide to a] school district is entitled to an | |
| 14 | 14 | annual allotment in the amount equal to the greater of: | |
| 15 | 15 | (1) $200 [provided by appropriation] for each student | |
| 16 | 16 | enrolled in the district; or | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) $100,000 for each campus in the district at which | |
| 18 | 18 | student instruction is provided [average daily attendance]. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
