| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 315, Local Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | by adding Section 315.007 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 315.007. AUTHORITY TO PROHIBIT SALE OF SINGLE-USE |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES AT MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSES. A municipality |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | may prohibit the sale of single-use plastic water bottles at golf |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | courses, including any attached clubhouses and shops, owned or |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | operated by the municipality. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
