| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 546.002(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) In this section, "police escort" means facilitating the | |
| 13 | 13 | movement of a funeral, oversized or hazardous load, or other | |
| 14 | 14 | traffic disruption for public safety purposes by a peace officer | |
| 15 | 15 | described by Articles 2.12(1)-(4), (8), (12), (17)(B), and (22), | |
| 16 | 16 | Code of Criminal Procedure. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
