| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 7 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and James and Earlene Daily |

| 8 | 8 | | of Longview celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 9 | 9 | | September 23, 2022; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Daily were joined in matrimony in 1952, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | that includes their children, Steve Daily and his wife, Laura, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Beth Daily Connolly and her husband, Mike, as well as four |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | great-great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The couple are respected members of the Longview |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | community, where Mr. Daily owned and operated Daily Electric Motor |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Company for many years until his retirement; although the business |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | was sold, the new owners kept the name of the company out of respect |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | for the Dailys, and it continues to operate to this day; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Daily have enjoyed seven decades of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | hereby congratulate James and Earlene Daily on the joyous occasion |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 28 | 28 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
