| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the physicians and members of the Texas Association of |

| 4 | 4 | | Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery who are visiting the State |

| 5 | 5 | | Capitol on March 7, 2023; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Otolaryngology Head and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Neck Surgery, known as TAO, was founded in 1959 as the primary |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | professional organization dedicated to promoting health care |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | excellence for the people of Texas and to enhance ear, nose, and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | throat medicine; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Members of TAO play an important role in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | advancement of ear, nose, and throat medicine and advocate for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | education concerning the study of social and economic problems as |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | they affect otolaryngological illnesses and care; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, As medical specialists, otolaryngologists are |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | dedicated to the well-being of their patients and to advancing |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | knowledge about how their specialty is related to other medical |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | specialties; TAO provides various opportunities for networking |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and in conjunction with its annual meeting, offers opportunities |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | for participation in continuing medical education programs; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery play an essential role in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the health care of countless Texans, and their contribution to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the welfare and prosperity of the state is truly deserving of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby recognize and welcome the members of the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Texas Association of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as they |

| 29 | 29 | | visit the Texas Capitol on March 7, 2023; and, be it further |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
