| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 4 | 4 | | Board of Trustees for being named the 2022 Texas Outstanding |

| 5 | 5 | | School Board, the top honor awarded by the Texas Association of |

| 6 | 6 | | School Administrators School Board Awards program; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Since 1971, the Texas Association of School |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Administrators has honored Texas school boards for demonstrating |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | commitment to educating their students and supporting their |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | communities; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Located south of Raymondville in Education |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Service Center Region 1, a small, rural district that serves over |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1,400 students, Lyford CISD impressed the selection committee |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | with the high quality and number of services and opportunities |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | that it offers to its students; the board's emphasis on promoting |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | college readiness and robust career and technical education |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | convinced the Texas Association of School Administrators to give |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | its most prestigious award to the district; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The Lyford board of trustees is highly respected |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | for its cooperation with parents and community members; its |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | amicable and collaborative approach to decision-making, and its |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ability to adapt to change while maintaining community |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | traditions; it is truly fitting that the Lyford CISD board |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | members receive special recognition for their many exemplary |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Lyford Consolidated Independent |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | School District Board of Trustees on its dedication to excellence |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | in education and extend congratulations to its members on being |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | named the Texas Association of School Administrators 2022 Texas |
