5+ SENATE RESOLUTION
26 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
37 recognize Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape on its outstanding
48 efforts in support of Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis and the
59 surrounding region; and
610 WHEREAS, The United States Armed Forces are essential to
711 the security, defense, and economy of Texas and the United States
812 of America, and the coalition of diverse support groups that make
913 up the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape are integral to the
1014 continuing success of the base and its endeavors; and
1115 WHEREAS, Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis provides a
1216 vital field training range for the Texas National Guard; the base
1317 is the only field training range that serves all medical
1418 personnel in the United States Department of Defense, and it is
1519 the only field training range that serves all security forces
1620 personnel in the United States Air Force; and
1721 WHEREAS, Protecting the capacity and capability of the
1822 training ranges of Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis depends on
1923 active cooperation between the military, state agencies, local
2024 governments, landowners, business interests, and advocacy
2125 organizations; and
2226 WHEREAS, A coalition of nearly 50 diverse support
2327 organizations joined together in 2022 and were recognized as the
2428 Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape by the United States Department of
2529 Defense, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the
2630 United States Department of the Interior; and
2731 WHEREAS, The Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape is working to
2832 protect military missions, promote agricultural vitality,
2933 conserve natural resources, and promote the economic future of
3034 the region surrounding Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, and it
3135 is indeed fitting that this exemplary coalition receive special
3236 recognition on its vital efforts; now, therefore, be it
3337 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
3438 Legislature, hereby commend the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape
3539 and its member organizations on their invaluable contributions
3640 to the state and to the nation and urge state agencies and local
3741 governments to continue supporting the efforts of the Camp Bullis
3842 Sentinel Landscape; and, be it further
3943 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
4044 the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape as an expression of esteem
4145 from the Texas Senate.
