8 | 12 | | of America, and the coalition of diverse support groups that make |

9 | 13 | | up the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape are integral to the |

10 | 14 | | continuing success of the base and its endeavors; and |

11 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis provides a |

12 | 16 | | vital field training range for the Texas National Guard; the base |
---|
13 | 17 | | is the only field training range that serves all medical |
---|
14 | 18 | | personnel in the United States Department of Defense, and it is |
---|
15 | 19 | | the only field training range that serves all security forces |
---|
16 | 20 | | personnel in the United States Air Force; and |
---|
17 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Protecting the capacity and capability of the |

18 | 22 | | training ranges of Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis depends on |

19 | 23 | | active cooperation between the military, state agencies, local |
---|
20 | 24 | | governments, landowners, business interests, and advocacy |
---|
21 | 25 | | organizations; and |

22 | 26 | | WHEREAS, A coalition of nearly 50 diverse support |

23 | 27 | | organizations joined together in 2022 and were recognized as the |

24 | 28 | | Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape by the United States Department of |
---|
25 | 29 | | Defense, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the |
---|
26 | 30 | | United States Department of the Interior; and |

27 | 31 | | WHEREAS, The Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape is working to |
---|
28 | 32 | | protect military missions, promote agricultural vitality, |
---|
29 | 33 | | conserve natural resources, and promote the economic future of |
---|
30 | 34 | | the region surrounding Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, and it |
---|
31 | 35 | | is indeed fitting that this exemplary coalition receive special |
---|
32 | 36 | | recognition on its vital efforts; now, therefore, be it |
---|
33 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
---|
34 | 38 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape |
---|
35 | 39 | | and its member organizations on their invaluable contributions |
---|
36 | 40 | | to the state and to the nation and urge state agencies and local |
---|
37 | 41 | | governments to continue supporting the efforts of the Camp Bullis |
